Green Up Day
Greetings, Craftsburglars!
Green-Up Day!!! Woo-hoo! It's almost here. I know, right? Hard to believe! Lots of exciting info below.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 7. Bags are now available at the town hall, and I'll be distributing them around town. You can get started early if you'd like, and then bring your green bags to the town truck at the garage (not to the commercial truck) on the 7th.
I was just chatting with Lisa and Cappy S today, and they've committed to going one mile in all directions from their home and collecting trash. What a great idea. Feel free to steal that one.
If you think of it, please let me or the gang at town hall know if you claim an area so we make optimal use of our resources.
Last year, we got SO MUCH trash, it just made my heart grow three sizes that day. My dear ol' dad would have been so proud.
A quick side note, and then more info to come later: The folks who take such good care of the cemetery on Cemetery Road have placed and anchored two barrels on either side so that if anyone cleans up around graves, there's a place to put the trash. Please take advantage of those. And if you place any decorations around the cemetery, be sure to anchor them well so they don't blow away. You can judge a town by how tidy the cemetery is, amirite?
Thanks, all! See you out there this spring. Already seeing some mugs I haven't seen since last fall, and they look all smiley and gawgeous.
