Thursday, August 11 6pm Land Ethic Discussion "A land ethic changes the role of Homo sapiens from conqueror of the land-community to plain member and citizen of it.” -Aldo Leopold, The Land Ethic, 1949
Explore the Land Ethic concept with a discussion series at the Craftsbury Public Library this spring and summer. The monthly reading discussion will be based on topics from the Land Ethic Library (learn more at https://ourvermontwoods.org/topic/land-ethic). Discussions may start with a group reading of an essay, poem, or other reflection to start the conversation. Reading discussions will take place on the second Thursday of the month, beginning on April 14 at 6pm. Participants do not need to pre-register, but are asked to be open to and respectful of different viewpoints that may be expressed by the group.
